Privacy Policy

This page explains what data IU ("we") collects when you use the app or website, what it is used for, and who it may be shared with. Questions: contato@iuhub.me.
1. What data we collect
Account data: name, email (used for login) and, optionally, phone number, profile photo and business details (trade name, tax ID, logo). Content you create: referrals, referral requests, messages with other users, private notes and evaluations on referrals. Phone contacts: if you use "Phone contacts" or the name autocomplete in New Referral, the app reads your address book on the device only to match numbers at that moment — the contact list itself is never sent to or stored on our servers. Technical data: the login session cookie, and, on the website, Google Analytics (site usage) and Google reCAPTCHA (public request form). Notifications: your device token, to send push notifications.
2. What we use it for
To authenticate your login, show referrals and requests within your network of friends, notify you about relevant activity (push, email or WhatsApp) and understand site usage to improve it. Links in these notices carry a code that records, only within IU, whether the link was opened and whether the person signed in or created an account through it, so we know whether the notices work. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.
3. Who we share it with
With providers that process data on our behalf: Resend (login and notice emails), Meta (WhatsApp notices), Google (reCAPTCHA and Analytics) and Expo (push notifications). These services have their own privacy policies. We host the service on DigitalOcean. We do not share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.
4. What other users see
Accepted friends see the referrals you share with them and the contact information you mark as public on your profile. A referral marked private is only visible to you. You control these settings from within the app/site.
5. How long we keep data, and how to delete it
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. To request deletion of your account and data, see the account & data deletion page.
6. Your rights
You can view and correct most of your data directly in your app/site profile, and request account deletion at any time (see the deletion page). For any other question about your data, write to contato@iuhub.me.
7. Children
IU is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this page from time to time. Meaningful changes will be reflected in the date at the top.
